Pvt. Rossie Lee GRIFFIN

1.  Inscription:  359th Infantry Regiment 90th Division WW I

Clyde Howel "Ben" WATKINS

1.  Ben worked in the oilfields around Seminole, Oklahoma.


1.  Sam was a farmer and later worked with the Santa Fe Railroad as an engine watchman at Shawnee, Enid, Oklahoma City, and Chicago, Illinois.

Thomas Carroll NOE

1.  Thomas & Zula were first cousins.    Thomas's mother, Sarah Eveline Griffin, was sister to Zula's father, Daniel Rowan Griffin.

Robert Lee NOE

1.  Robert enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps at Dallas, Texas on 30 Sep 1942.

2.  His death was not from war wounds, but, rather from kidney failure.

3.  His body was returned to Clarksville, Texas with a Marine escort and he was buried in New Shamrock Cemtery, Clarksville.


1.  The Red River County, Texas, Guardianship Book X, p. 46 shows the two children were given in guardianship to Mary's brother, John W. Price in 1910.
