James Roland PARKER

1.  James Parker was Shedrick Jones' step-son-in law.

2.  It was reported in several newpapers that he was driving Sherrick's wagon home after they both had been drinking in town.  Shadrick was nortoriously mean when he was drinking and according to James they got into an argument and James confessed to his wife that he had killed him.  (There had been a long standing family fued between the Parkers' and Jones'.

2.  He was convicted of "Manslaughter" of Shedrick Jones and was sentenced to San Quinton Prison for 10 years...on March 30th, 1883.  By an Executive Pardon, dated November 23, 1983, by virtue of authority, George Stoneman, Governor of the State of California was discharged from custody and restored to citizenship.   (32 Pages of writings of the event an trial are on record)
