Jacob FLOURNOY

1.  Jacob left Geneva about 1697 and after residing in Berlin, German, The Netherlands, and London, England successively, he came to Virginia in 1700 aboard the ship "Peter and Anthony".  His second wife accompanied him along with two sons and two daughters.  Jabob & his family were fleeing persecution because of their freligious beliefs.  They were Huguenots.  Jacob immediately established his residence in Henrico County (Now Powhatan), Virginia.  He was undoubtedly the financial agent for the Geneva family, and apparently had a shop in Williamsburg for handling loans and deed transfers.  He was a goldsmith.  

2.  Jacob was married three times.  His first marriage was to Marthe Morel on 24 Feb 1685 in Geneva, Switzerland.  Geoerge Alton Ingram reports that she died in Geneva, Switzerland about 1695.  His second wife, name unknown, died in Virginia in 1701.  His third marriage was to Madeline Verseuil on 9 Dec 1703 in Virginia.


Francis FLOURNOY "Sr"

1.  Francis disposed of his property by the time he wrote his will on 13 Apr 1770.   The will was recoed on 2 May 1773 and proven on 2 Jul 1773.

2.  Francis had ten living children at the time of his will, four daughter and six sons.
