William HOLLINGSWORTH

1.  Doug Hollingsworth reports that this William was the one who married Olive Cook instead of Joseph & Margaret Wright...This writer questions that.


Rev. William Hull "Preacher" KUYKENDALL

1.  William Hull Huykendall was ordained in 1881 as a  Baptist Preacher in Dallas, Texas.

2.  After Sallie's death he was pastor at the Lone Grove Baptist Church in Lone Grove, Indian Territory  in July 1879.    Source from the Baptist Signal, 1898-1900 {newsletter}

3.  He was the associate editor of the Texas Baptist Herald at Dallas, Texas for a number of years.

4.  He was editor of the Baptist Signal at Ardmore, Oklahoma for six years.

5.  In the narrative in the book  "History of the Kuykendall Family" by George Benson Kuykendall states that he edited the Orphan's Friend in the interest of the Orphan's Home at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma  in 1906.

6.  Between 1906 & 1930 there seems to be no record in the 1910 or 1020 census records for him, but, then he shows up again in the Hewitt, Carter County, Oklahoma in the 1930 cenus.  It has been reported that he had an appointment of a foreign missionary where he labored for several years in Mexico until returning to the US during times of Mexican turmoil.   In 1917 he was preaching in Magnolia, Arkansas.

7.  Besides being a retired/preacher/minister he is shown as Farmer, Hatchery    

8 .  He is buried in the old Gordon Cemetery which is located twtween the towns of Ardmore and Marietta, Oklahoma....Marietta being closer to the Texas line.

1.  This child must have died in infancy as the 1900 U.S. Census of Ardmore, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory listed 1 child born, 0 children living.
