1st Lt. Fred Norman BLANKENSHIP

1.  Served in the US Army during World War II, stationed in Germany.

2.  He attended College of the Ozarks in Clarkesvill, graduating with a pharmacy degee.

3.  He was the owner  and pharmacist of Blankenship Drug from 1950 until he retired in 1980.

4.  He was an active member of the Lions Club, Melbourne Masonic Lodge, and Izard County Historical Society.

5.  He was a long-time memeber of Melbourne First Baptist Chruch.

Wendell Paul BLANKENSHIP

1.  He was an electrician and a well known musician


James Newton "Newt" BLANKENSHIP

1.  Served in US Army in the Korean War, rising to the rank of Sergeant First Class.

2.  He was honoraby discharged after being wounded in battle.
