Joshua ROBERTS

1.  An executor of Joshua's Will in 1758 was John Ellett, Jr.

2.  Since Morris named his first son Ellett, this gives a clue as to the maiden name of his wife.  It was almost certainly Ellett, and John Ellett was very likely her brother.  This suggests her father was John Ellett, Sr. (Eric Newsom)

John ELLETT "Sr"

1.  John was a Planter.


William PRIDE "III"

1.  Alternate date and place of birth:  Abt 1650, or Abt 1665 Henrico, Virginia.

2.  Jane Pride's grandfather, William appears in the Henrico County records asearly as the 1690's when he received headrights for 1278 acres of land in payment for the transportation of persons including himself and his wife, Jane, to Virginia.  Persons who paid for transportation of immigrants into one of the colonies were usually paid a "headright' of 50 acres per person by the
colonial government.  Some researchers believe there was an even earlierWilliam Pride, father of William "Sr", in Henrico County as early as the1670's.
