Oliver Herman SMITH

1.  Oliver's name was legally changed to Smith in Washington, D. C. on 29 Jan 1918 because of war work.

2.  He was a singer of radio fame in the 1920s and 1930s.  He sang "Gypsy Tenor" A & P Gypsies "Pierre La Croon" Bayer Asprin, etc, also "Peter Pan Metropllitan Opera.


Juanita WATT

1.  Juanita Watt (Smith) Meade was born a few hours prior to the death of her father.  She wrote:  "Our Father kissed me and named me before he died, so my birth date and christening date are the same".   What a sweet memory to have of the Father one has never known.

1.  The 1900 Oklahoma Census is very hard to read the names....however, the given name definitely begins with a "J"
