John Smith HOLLINGSWORTH

1.  John enlisted at age 19 and served 3 years of a 4 year enlistment, being discharged due to injury.

2.  He was a corporal in Company "C" 18th Regt. US Volunteer Infantry from Ohio.

3.  He served at Bull Run, Murfreesboro, Stone River, where he was severely wounded, at Chattanooga, Chicamauga and other battles of the Atlanta campaign of the Civil War.

4.  John was employed as carpenter, builder, and architect.

5.  He resided in Elwood, Indiana before 1902.


Carrie HOLLINGSWORTH

1.  According to her sister Alta, Cora was injured falling from a fence and broke her back in the fall and became a hunchback that left her with retarded growth and was never able to walk again.


Martha Melinda KIRKPATRICK

1.  In Alta Hollingsworth's diary, Matha Medlinda Kirkpatrick's own handwriting listed her birth as shown here, but, information from before had her birth year as 1861.


Wesley E. HOLLINGSWORTH

1.  Wesley resided in Hemlock, Howard County, Indiana in 1933.


Alma HOLLINGSWORTH

1.  Alma resided in Peru, Miami, Indiana in 1956.
