Rachel SHEWIN

1.  In 1777, Rachel Isaac wrote her will, naming nephews Jacob and Samuel Hollingsworth and her sister Barbara.


Francis CHAD

1.  Henry II emigrated with his family to America in about 1725, having sold up all his possessions in Northern Ireland.


Henry CHADS "I"

1.  Henry "I" was recoreded as being a ship-owner and merchant in Belfast, Northern Ireland.


Henry CHADS "IV"

1.  Henry Chads "IV" was sent to Englan d in 1752 after the death of his father to live with his English uncles James Chads whose family lived in Chichester.  

2.  James was a distinguished Royal Navel Officer, having entered the Royal Navy and reached the rank of Captain.

3.  He returned to America in about 1780 and was appointed agent of transporta during which time he married his second wife, Susannah Cornell of Ithaca in 1783, believed to be the daughter of Samuel Cornell, founder of Cornell University.

1.  Henry Ducie Chads was 1st Lieutenant on board HMS Java during the naval battle with the USS Constitution in 1812.


Samuel CORNELL

1.  Samuel Cornell was founder of Cornell University.


William HOLLINGSWORTH

Occupaton:  Marinar (seaman) and thought to have died a bachelor.


Diana JENKINSON

1.  It is believed that Diana died in childbirth.
