1. Mrs. "Rome" Peevy, age 87 (1961) was the only living child and she recalled that her father came to Alma, Arkansas when she was five years old. They camped under a tree and put boards and a tent around the treet to protect them until Rev.Simmons could build a log cabin. How the children enjoyed living there! Mrs. Peevy could remember when the first train came to their communtiy in Arkansas. She also remembered that they put strings across the firplace, after they moved into their cabin, to hang the diapers on stormy days.

2. He was a WWII Army Air Corps Fighter Pilot. The fact that he was only 18 & 19 years old didn't stop him from getting into dogfights over Occupied France.
