Fred Loen JONES

1.  Fred provided much information on the Jones/Roberts lines for this writer when I first began this "family history" project.

2.  He lived in Pontotoc County area all his life and attended school in Ada.

3.  He was veteran of the 45th Infantry Division and was in he Korean War where he received a "Purple Heart".  He held the rank of Sgt.

4.  He was a member of the American Legion, Stratford Post, Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ada.

5.  He worked for the Ada, Oklahoma, City Utility Department for 14 years and the Ada Police and Fire Departments.

6.  He served as Municipal Judge in Allen for three years.

7.  Fred was living in Allen, Oklahoma, when he passed away.

8.  He was a very thoughtful and kind person.

9.  I remember most his broad smile from ear to ear!

Phyliss Jean COOPER

1.  This writer has visited in Phyliss's home prior to Fred's death in Allen, Oklahoma.  Nice reception and always pleasant to be around at the family reunions.

3.  Listed as female and Georgia Ellen on www.family search.org IGI submitted by member.  Birth and death dates taken from IGI.

4.  Alternate date of death:  7 Dec 1895  [This could be a female] and [there might have been a male George E. that died 20 Mar 1899.
