Notes


Sarah R. BRYANT

1.  At the time of the birth of her son, Sarah lived at 3804 Locust St. in Drexel  Hill of Philadelphia.

2.  At the time of her death [Atlantic City Hospital], she lived at 100 South Princeton St., in Ventnor City, New Jersey.

3.  The April 20, 1925 edition of the "Evening Public...?" has an article about her death and about her being called the "Sunshine Lady".  

4.  Her death certificate says she was 52 years old and that she died of "Pneumonia lobar empyemia".   The doctor who certified the cause of death was H. I. Silvers, MD.


Capt. Bryant TAYLOR

1.  After his mother's death in 1925, Bryant was raised by his Uncle Frank Buehler and Aunt Josephine Bryant Buehler in Philadelphia.

2.  When Bryant was attending flight school in Texas, one of his instructors, Carl Davis, introduced him to his niece, Winifred Marie Walker of Houston.  Bryant & Winifred were then married in 1937.

3.  During WW II Bryant was a Captain in the U. S. Army Air Corps.  He taught men to fly for service in the war.


Winifred Marie WALKER

1.  When Winifred was born, her mother was told that she would not live.

2.  Winifred broke her back in high school, and she was told that she would  never have children!

3.  Don't ever tell Winifred that she can't do something!  

4.  Winifred and Bryant separated in 1948.  She and her two sons, Frank & John, moved to Jacksonville, Florida.  For about a year they lived with her father, William James Walker, and her step-mother, Beatrice Kelley Walker.

5.  As of 5 Nov 2003, Winifred was still living in Jacksonville Beach, Florida @ age 84.

6.  She has five children, eleven grand-children, and nine great grand-children, and one great-great grandson.
