Stanley Shahan ROBERTSON

1.  Stanley was a Mechanic.


Orlando Newton HOLLINGSWORTH "I"

1.  O. N. was living at Austin, Texas in 1917...

2.  Orlando graduated from the University of Virginia, 1859, with honor.

3.  In 1861 he enlisted in R. H. Cumby's Co. "B" 3rd Texas Cavalary.

4.  In 1861 he raised a Company in Rusk County for Ciovil War Service;  he became Adjutant, and after being wounded at battle of Corinth in 1862, was transferred to the Ropographical Corps.

5.  Lieutenant and Adjutant, 3rd Texas Volunteer Cavalry Regiment....Seriously wounded at Corinth, Mississippi and later resigned.

6.  Following the Civil War he taught at a private Academy in San Antonio until he founded the Coronal Institute in San Marcos in 1868.

7.  He was admitted to the Bar and elected to the 13th Legislature in 1872.

8.  In December of 1872 he became Supt. of Public Instruction, State of Texas.
