2.  Alternate place of birth:  Mississippi. [Not proven]   Source from Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, 1860 Census...it lists surname as "Anders" and show his age at 13 for a year of birth as 1847, but, on his tombstone 1849 is shown.  

3.  Samuel Albert Anders came from Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, to Conway and Pope Counties, Arkansas shortly after the Civil War...Per Faye (Sharp) Alley..

4.  It has not been discovered why he changed his surname from Andrews to Anders about 1900.

5.  Note that three children use "Anders" and three others use "Andrews"...
