Charles Edward "Charlie" SIMMONS

1.  Charlie moved his family to Callahan County, Texas, about 1895.

2.  He was a carpenter.

3.  All of Charlie's children were close and lived close together in Callahan and Howard Counties of Texas for many years.

Thomas Ephraim MITCHELL

1.  Thomas moved his family from Lincoln County, Tennessee, to Ellis County, Texas, in 1880.


Lt. Col. Robert Miller SIMMONS

1.  Aileen in Wa writes that Robert's older children had married in Tennessee, and that he moved his younger children in 1802 "down the rivers" from Cookesville, TN area to first LA then to  MS.   [Question:  How many were there and what were their names & family ties?]

2.  She further states that oral history said "our John took his slaves to LA/MS "before the war".

3.  She says surnames connected to our direct male Simmons line from Ebenezer b. 1700 SC through James Mack: JONES/GRAY/PICKENS/MILLER/RAULSTON/JARED/WADE.

1.  Anne was 3rd of twelve children.
