Robert Franklin McMinn died August 15, 1907 of Typhoid fever. Born 2/19/1850 in Georgia. His parents were Felix G. and Elizabeth Johnson McMinn. Survived by his wife, the former Mary M. Hudson whom he married on 2/28/1883 at the home of her mother near Rusk, 2 daughters Miss Frankie and Vermie McMinn, a son Robert Hudson McMinn. He was a prominent citizen living at Noonday. He came from Georgia to Polk County Texas with his parents when he as 4 years old. Came to Smith County in 1869, settling on a farm purchased from the late John Dewberry, 15 miles South of Tyler on the Palestine Road. Moved to Noonday 1892.

Church in Rusk at the time of his death, but it does not say where he was buried. It says that his wife, nine children, father, and one sister and five brothers survived him.
