Andrew CLINGENPEEL

1.  Andrew was only eight years old when his father died and he, along with three other minor brothers became the wards of Peter Shideler.   Mr. Shidler served as Justice of the Peace in the County.

2.  By 1 Sep 1849 Andrew had removed to Decatur County, Indiana and had purchased his first farmland.

3.  Six months later on 13 Mar 1850 he made his home near Sardenia, Indiana through 1870.

4.  Andrew lived with his son, Lorenzo, near Delphos, Kansas, moving with him to Nerberne, Missouri where he died and was buried in the Winter of 1898.

Wiley CLINGENPEEL

1.  Noma Lee Taylor lists marriage date of 16 Mar 1838.

2.  Wiley was a blacksmith.

3.  He died of rheumatism.

1.  Surety:   Benjamin Betz


Kyle CLINGENPEEL

1.  Kyle died of a fever while serving in the Civil War as a clerk for the Confederate States of America.


Sarah CLINGENPEEL

1.  Susan was a TWIN to her brother Samuel.

2.  She died of the flu, 1 year 10 months


Samuel M. CLINGENPEEL

1.  Samuel was a TWIN to his sister Susan.


Jacob A. CLINGENPEEL "Sr"

1.  On Jacob & Nancy's marriage bond, his name is spelled "Clinkinbeard".

Nancy Ann WITT

1.  Nancy died of "dropsy".


James B. PUCKETT

1.  The 1850 Census of Roanoke County, Virginia, shows James as a farmer.


Sophia CLINGENPEEL

1.  It appears that Sophia was not married when her first two children were born.


Joseph W. PUCKETT

1.  It is said that Joseph died of [Flux].


Elizabeth CLINGENPEEL

1.  Elizabeth & Andrew's daughter, Sarah, was born before they married.

2.  Tom Thompson reported that there is no documentation that Elizabeth's parents are Jonathan Clingenpeel and Mildred Hambrick.  Given that the dates of children's births seem unlikely for her age...[they were born 20 years after her second marriage], it may be that her parents are incorrectly identified.


Emanuel H. CLINGENPEEL

1.  Emanuel is buried in Moss Cemetery, Flora, Carroll, Indiana.

2.  Three and maybe four of the children listed for Emanuel & Mary White were born after they were divorced.


Margaret CLINGENPEEL

1.  Donald Clyngenpeel listed Margaret's year of death as 1859.
